Geena Davis
Geena Davis is an internationally renowned American producer, actress, writer and activist for women's rights. In addition to her many roles in Hollywood her work has earned the acclaim of critics for her role in tv's shows of all genres. Models were also in her past prior to becoming a film actor. The passion she has for music from the age of three led her to study music on flute and piano. She played the organ in a church in Wareham. She relocated to New York City after graduating from Boston University with a degree in drama. After many struggles and a lot of work, she was forced to take on odd jobs and doing other jobs before finally receiving her breakthrough. Modeling was her profession for many years before making her debut in film, 'Tootsie.' This was in 1982. She also appeared in several Television serials and later had a highly successful career as an actor and was awarded an Oscar Award for her movie "The Accidental Tourist". In addition, she won the Golden Globe Award' for the role she played in a television drama series. She is married to Reza Jarrahy and has one daughter and two sons from the union. She also works for a number of charitable causes.
